Last day of our trip

We have not been very lucky with weather in Auckland. We had planned to go to waiheke island today which is a short ferry ride from the quay but it was raining and extremely windy most of the day. We went to a beachside area called mission bay which was cute but not very enjoyable in the weather. So we have spent a bunch of time at our favorite wi fi cafe, gloria jeans, having yet another white chocolate macadamia nut latte! Gonna miss them a lot although Adam is craving a Tims coffee. A few places here flooded too! I don't know what's wrong with the weather this year - Australia, Pakistan, brazil, and the list goes on. 

Before we arrived back in auckland, we went on a waitamo caves glowworm trip which was a lot of fun and I'd highly recommend doing one! We went on the black labyrinth with black water rafting co but if I ever did it again I'd go for the black abyss which is longer and more of a thrill. Basically you wear a wetsuit, helmet w a light, boots, etc and get taken down into a cave with a tube and you more less raft down a swallow river. On the ceiling of the cave there are worms that looks like stars at the top of the ceiling of the cave. It was very cool and a very interesting tour! Adam was initially dreading it but he enjoyed it a lot of well! We stayed in Hamilton for the night before heading back to Auckland. We have stayed at novotel hotels in Christchurch, queens town and Hamilton and we'd recommend all of them. In Auckland we stayed at the crown plaza the first time and now the celestial waldorf serviced apartments which are really nice in case is anyone uses this blog to plan future trips!
